This Week - 15th-19th Dec

posted 20 Dec 2014, 05:47 by Dorchester Firststeps
As you can imagine, the last week of term has been all about Christmas.

When the children arrived on Monday, our home corner had become a cosy fireplace complete with tree and Christmas Post Box for sending cards to friends.  Crafts involves making Christmas baubles with our faces on to hang on our tree and much of our time was taking up with rehearsals of our Nativity!

The Nativity itself took place on Tuesday and was a huge success, both as a performance - many parents and carers almost burst with pride! -  and as a fundraising event.  Those of you who came and everyone who bought raffle tickets  contributed to raising a whopping £200! (Please see next half term's newsletter for our spending plans or check out our In the Works page in late January.)

We ended our week with a celebratory party which included a visit from Santa himself!!!  All the children got a present to take home and danced and ate the session away. (You can see these and many other pictures on our Children's Activities page.)

Everyone had a wonderful time and we'd like to say a special thanks to Committee Member James who volunteered to be Santa.

We're back on Monday 5th January and look forward to seeing you all.  Have a very merry Christmas!!!!!
