Most of First Steps’ income comes from our fundraising efforts. Below are some of the ways in which you can contribute.

Also, please check our home page for dates of cake sales, fairs etc.

Fundraising Projects
We have a number of ongoing fundraising projects. These include:

Recycling used ink cartridges and old mobile phones

The envelopes for ink cartridges can be obtained at the pre-school or please click on the link below.  Please note cartridges are not accepted from Brother, Epson or Kodak.

We now have a recycling box which you will be able to put ink cartridges and old mobile phones in.

The Book People

The Book People leave a selection of books at the pre-school on a regular basis throughout the year, and when an order of ten books is received, we receive one book for the pre-school free!  Click on the logo to go to the Book People website.

Bags2School is the UK’s leading textile recycler and fundraiser working with schools. Since its inception in 2001 they’ve paid out over £10 million to schools around the country. By getting involved in our Bags2School collection you have an opportunity to clear out your wardrobes of adult and children’s clothes, shoes, hats, belts, handbags, soft toys, curtains and bedding (though not duvets and pillows). All we ask is that they be in a good enough condition to re-use. We’ll provide a bag for you to put them in which you hand in to us and for every tonne we raise, we get paid £500!  Click on the logo to go to the Bags2School website.

The Easy Fundraising Website

The Easyfundraising website earns us money when purchases are made on websites that are linked to the Easyfundraising site. It is a quick and easy way to raise money for the group. The link to register for easyfundraising is on the right hand side of this page. Please sign up and help support us.

The Easyfundraising Website Explained

Shop Online and Raise Money!
Have you heard about easyfundraising yet? It’s the easiest way to help raise money for First Steps - Dorchester! If you already shop online with retailers such as Amazon, M&S, Argos, John Lewis, Comet, Vodafone, eBay, Boden and Play.com, then we need you to sign up for free to raise money while you shop!

So how does it work?

You shop directly with the retailer as you would normally, but if you sign up for free by clicking on this logo

and use the links on the easyfundraising site to take you to the retailer, then a percentage of whatever you spend comes directly to us at no extra cost to yourself.

How much can you raise?

Spend £100 with M&S online or Amazon and you raise £2.50 for us. £100 with WH Smith puts £2.00 in our pocket and so on. There's over 2,000 retailers on their site, and some of the donations can be as much as 15% of your purchase.

Save money too!

Easyfundraising is FREE to use plus you'll get access to hundreds of exclusive discounts and voucher codes, so not only will you be helping us, you’ll be saving money yourself.

We've raised over £230 with easyfundraising so far but we need your help to keep donations coming in.
